Jonathan Miles ADAMS，男，1965年生，博士，教授，硕导，博导。主要从事生物与环境的相互作用等方面的研究工作。  

先后在Nature、New Phytologist、Global Ecology and Biogeography、Soil Biology & Biochemistry等专业领域重要国际学术刊物发表相关学术论文130余篇，期刊JCR分区多数为一区。两本个人专业著作，分别为《VEGETATION-CLIMATE INTERACTION》、《SPECIES RICHNESS》。

目前开展科研项目：

1.The changes in microbial communities that are occurring with permafrost melting in northern Siberia.

2.The relation between plant diversity, land use history and soil microbial communities in the chalk grasslands of England and in the Tibetan Plateau.

3.Comparison of the soil microbes associated with related genera of trees in Europe, east Asia and North America.

4.Comparison of the mycorrhizal fungi on plant roots on remote islands with those on the continents, and investigation of the role of tectonic plate boundaries in Asia in affecting the distribution of soil microbes.

5.The role of slow colonization by soil microbes in preventing the ecosystem development and rehabilitation of old industrial sites in China.
