目前开展科研项目：

1.The changes in microbial communities that are occurring with permafrost melting in northern Siberia.

2.The relation between plant diversity, land use history and soil microbial communities in the chalk grasslands of England and in the Tibetan Plateau.

3.Comparison of the soil microbes associated with related genera of trees in Europe, east Asia and North America.

4.Comparison of the mycorrhizal fungi on plant roots on remote islands with those on the continents, and investigation of the role of tectonic plate boundaries in Asia in affecting the distribution of soil microbes.

5.The role of slow colonization by soil microbes in preventing the ecosystem development and rehabilitation of old industrial sites in China.
